I've been delving through some of my old favorite cards from WCW in the late 80's early 90's. I get through these cards much easier than watching today's product and I find the matches much more compelling. Today it's a whole lot of bodies flying, but not a lot of good story-telling.
The other big thing, is while there were a lot of rest holds and a focus on mat wrestling, there also were a LOT less injuries during this time period.
Does anyone else think the agent's should be directing the talent to go in this direction? Protect each other and focus on a better story and not going the somewhat cheap direction of doing a big high-risk move for the sake of a quick pop.
