Seth Rollins Turns On The Shield, Joins Evolution

Tonight on Raw we saw Seth Rollins turn against the Shield and join Evolution. I think this came as a surprise to a lot of people. Of the three members of the Shield I think most people would have thought Rollins would have been the least likely to turn. There seemed to be some speculation that Evolution would get a new member. I've read posts predicting both Ambrose and Reigns, and for some reason unknown to me Sheamus too, but no one seemed to suspect Rollins. I can't help but wonder if his turn was done just for the sake of surprise.

I'm a little disappointed that Rollins has left the Shield. I was all for a Shield breakup going into WrestleMania but when that didn't happen and they turned face I figured they would stick together for a while longer. The team was strong and had a ton of momentum. I think a good thing ended a little too soon. If anything I would have preferred it if Ambrose was the one to turn. He seems like a natural heel where Rollins seems like a better face. Rollins's in ring style is the kind that brings fans to their feet and brings natural cheers. He's somebody that the fans are going to want to cheer for. I wonder if WWE is worrying too much about dirt sheet reports and going against their natural instincts in order to throw off the internet fans. I hope that's not the case because that could be a slippery slope and ruin a lot of good ideas.

Now for a bunch of questions. What do you think of the Rollins turn? Is this a step toward the main event as a singles wrestler or will he just be a lackey for Randy Orton and Triple H? Do you think he should have been the one to turn? Would you have preferred if the Shield stuck together? Will Ambrose and Regins bring in someone to replace Rollins and if so, who?
