On his appearance on Chris Jericho's "Talk is Jericho" podcast, released today, MVP noted that he's not going in for an MRI as originally planned, as his doctors told him surgery could wait until he tested the condition of his knee in the ring, but that TNA officials are in fact working on a "Plan B" for Slammiversary should he not be able to compete.
His goal is still to wrestle, but what kind of Plan B would you want to see presuming he can't? Considering the story line, I'm pretty sure the easiest solution is simply to ask Lashley to step in in place of him. You could just have MVP cut a promo early in the show standing on crutches talking about how he was injured so he wants to give his title shot to the most "deserving" man in the company, only to basically hand it to Lashley instead of guys like Aries or Roode.
