Could unscripted wrestling work!?

First off, I will take the time to discuss this.. Unrelated to wrestling, I do LARPING irl and sometimes take part in the SCA and Amtgard, which revolves around authentic medieval combat.. But what does Live Action Role-Playing and Pro Wrestling have in common? At the end of the day we're acting out a character role, the only difference is that in LARPING, you are acting without a script and you create your own character and I wonder if this would work in a pro wrestling business, where everything goes unscripted and is instead spontaneous? From talk on the mic to what goes on in the ring, we would eliminate the writers for said show..
