AVG sometimes can Trip you onto a Freemium level feature for a Month or so then Bombards you with messages saying your trial is up please update!
So what to you do ?Delete it !! Seriously. Go into the Control panel and Delete/uninstall it!
You'll get a Message in return saying apologetically: "So you are leaving us?"(Words to that effect) This has 2 links on it 1 is the Delete button the other is to Install the AVG Free Version (Identical bar No Firewall link active (Windows 7 & above have good Firewalls!) and other advanced security Links. Follow it through (no registration ) and its running quietly again in a minute or 2...In my case it kept the previous setup and Its been a few days and not a Peep out of the Program
Do note,this Opt out can be taken any time OK?
