Am I getting senile or am I correct in thinking there is no easy way to boot into safe mode in W10?
Last night I decided to update the Nvidia driver in my Dell Laptop (3yrs old) all went well but nothing showed on the screen except the cursor and part of the taskbar, I had to press the off button to shut it down and restart, the log in screen appeared and I was able to type in my pass and the W10 logo announced that it was logging on but again I got a blank screen.
So clever me decided to restart in safe mode by pressing F8 on restart so as to use system restore to correct whatever messed up but off course F8 does not work with W10!
I have got the laptop working again now but surely there must be a simple way to access safe mode if your Pc won't boot properly?
All the references to getting in to safe mode with W10 involved doing so within windows, not much use if you can't get windows on the screen!
