I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 just a month ago and, touch wood, everything is running smoothly.
Whilst I am in no immediate hurry to upgrade my desktop, currently running W7 Home Premium, at least until the official notification arrives, I have a question.
Up until 3 days ago, I got on at least a daily basis 'Upgrade to Windows 10 Home' showing failed in Windows Update. Now I appreciate this is a very common situation and I should just sit back and wait, but why did the daily updates suddenly stop ?
Coincidentally, whenever I click on Start to shut down, the shut down option has the little MS Shield showing which indicates 'Installs updates and then shuts down your computer'. But there are no updates to install and the pc executes a normal shutdown.
Any ideas please ?
