Thanks to Web User and I suppose correspondent Joel Ingram, a problem has been solved. Each time I start up, my three extensions failed and I had to go to tools etc re enable them. But after removing AdBlockPlus and installing AdBlock, today, they loaded.
As a result of something else I read in the current issue, I installed Driver Booster 3. The procedure was as described and it picked up about 18 very old drivers which were dealt with and I think the machine in running better. My question now is, should Driver Booster 3 be removed? what purpose will it serve left on desktop?.
