characters hangs or pauses when typing

I have windows 10 pro installed (clean install) on a new Lenovo laptop now and again when typing in outlook 2013 or word 2013 or even on here the keys i have pressed don't show for about 1 second and then they all show, i have checked the logs ran AV scans etc
it's not all the time, i see no pattern either.
I have wiped the drive and rebuilt and the same happens after a short period of time, I can never duplicate it.
Any ideas would be welcomed
