Have not been around for a while as matters have been running perfectly for me with my eight-year old HP HDX 18 Laptop (64 bit) running Windows 7 Professional N. I am absolutely delighted with this laptop and the 7 OS which I shall keep forever and a day. I have avoided the Microsoft "swamps" of 8 /8.1/10.
My Laptop runs like a dream because I like to keep it clean and do not overburden it with junk software so, you may ask, why am I here ? Two points:-
System Restore. I create these from time to time and lately notice that sometimes they disappear...I may lose three or four of them. I check my
settings in System Protection and all is well. I complete a Virus check with Avast Free and use Malwarebytes.. nothing shows up. I THINK the problem may be with either Piriform Defrag or cCleaner. I used the latter's Free Space Drive Wipe recently. I also regularly Defrag (I have not gone SDD) and DO NOT usethe cCleaner Registry section
Disk Cleanup(Windows). Try as I might I have 255mb of Windows Update Files on this and cannot clean this up. Everything else cleans up.:mad::mad:
Any help, folks, with these points... and not too technical as I am still a very basic type of user ?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused :
