I purchased a Canon Pixma printer last week as a replacement for a Pixma. The driver said it had installed ok but when I checked the printer no driver was installed. It would not do its diagnostics. I tried installation disk and software from Canon Website. Canon could not help with issue so I returned the USB printer.
Now I have a HP printer but still simialar issue. Install software - printer is showing in notepad but print is greyed out. Then it says you must add a new printer even though printer is in the list and set to the default printer. I removed all printer software before installing - ran CC cleaner and registry cleaning programs. Still no luck. Women at HP did remote control but ran out of time trying to solve issue. I have tried a paid program driverupdates but my printer is not listed.
