Windows update

Not sure whether I should post here or under W10.

Following resolution of BIOS problem I have a query regarding W7 updates.

I have registered for W10 but decided I would not update until nearer the end of free upgrade period when hopefully alot of the current problems being encountered have been resolved. I had a screen that kept popping up to say W10 was ready and I could update or schedule an update within the following three days.

That screen has now gone and when clicking on W10 on task bar it now says that download is complete. I haven't instigated this but I understand that it takes a number of hours and you can't use your pc whilst this takes place. This has not happened.

The person who resolved my BIOS problem noted that there were 17 windows updates but didn't install them in case W10 was included.

Now on the windows update screen the only option I get is to click on an icon to restart my pc and begin W10 install. I am hoping that when I shut down my pc that when I reboot it will not start W10 upgrade.

Does this change to windows update mean I will no longer get W7 updates?
