ROH steals a regular TNA event. This is hilarious.

Quote:

Every year since 2006 TNA has held an annual 'BaseBrawl' event during the summer and regularly drew pretty sizable crowds to MCU Field in Brooklyn, New York. The show is put on in conjunction with surrounding organizations so a lot of non-wrestling fans attend as tickets are rather cheap and they want to support the local sponsors.

Well this year, TNA BaseBrawl won't be happening. We have no details on the situation, but last night Ring of Honor announced they would be running The Brooklyn Cyclones' MCU Field on August 15, replacing TNA in the process. If tickets are at the same price they have been in recent years and ROH can get a good card out, they could break their attendance record with this event.

This is another big move by ROH at the expense of TNA, as these shows generate solid revenue. We'll try to get more details on why ROH has replaced TNA in the coming days, but this could be viewed by some as a subtle shot.

I hope ROH does break their attendance record with this. Their average attendance for the year was 8% higher than that of TNA's before War of the Worlds, with 2,600 people attending that last night It'll only be higher now. TNA might be number two because of Spike TV, but everything else isn't going their way.
