On a similar note to Rogerman's question in the other thread.
After the 30 days rollback period and in the unlikely event that you decided you needed to go back to the old system, what would happen if you ran an old W7 image ( this year before the free offer expires) firstly would you be able to over write W10 with the W7 image, is there likely to be an issue with the MBR and if you could use the W7 image would you start to get the GWX upgrade icon again. Alternately if you clean installed W7 from the W7 install disc would you get the free offer again even though you have had it once already,
Do MS log your computer details against having already taken the free offer and outrun the rollback period. Presumably they do log everything against your W10 key to prevent the serial key from being used on other computers.
I was just pondering this the other day and wondering what would be the options if you found you had a faulty element in the upgrade after the 30 day period and you needed another stab at upgrading to 10 with newly acquired awareness that might hopefully allow you to get it right the second time around.
Yes! I know I'm a worry wart but I'm happy that way :)
