As I watched The Wyatt Family, Evolution, and the Shield mix it up on Monday Night Raw last night, I got to thinking - these are a collection of some of the better 3-man stables in recent history. The Shield have MAYBE lost twice as a 3-man team on TV, and the Wyatt's have now handed them one of those losses.
And it led me to think of the inevitable comparisons to the Four Horsemen. Ric, Arn, Ole, and Tully dominated wrestling for a long time, and once Arm coined the Four Horsemen phrase, never again could that stable operate without 4 men.
I switched my thinking back to the original nWo - Hogan, Hall, and Nash. 3 huge names planting the seeds of one of pro wrestling's great dynasties. The Legion of Doom were 3 strong for a while - Hawk, Animal, and Paul Ellering.
So it led me to this question - What number makes the better stable? 3 members? Or 4?
