Too far with the political comments?

Did WWE go too far yesterday with some of Lana's political comments? Pro Russia president - fine, that's within the bounds of the character. Putting down America - fine, that's an old tactic that previous Russian characters have used. But then she brought up the political, touchy situation of Edward Snowden and went on about it.



Without getting your political views, was it in line for the WWE to use the Snowden situation as they used it last night? I thought it went a little too far given that she had already made enough points to generate heat.
