Smaller guys at the top = more injuries?

We've all be clamouring for more technical wrestlers to make it to the top of the mountain in WWE for some time now and finally it seems like they're listening. First pushing internet favourites like Ryder and Ziggler for a while, then CM Punk, then Daniel Bryan amongst others, but it seems to me, now more than ever, that the smaller guys injuries hurt their careers far more and happen far more often.

For example, when Brock Lesnar tried the shooting star press on Kurt Angle all those years ago, he landed on his head and it's been stated in interviews since that anyone else would likely have broken their necks making the same error.

So what i'm saying is, after all these years, maybe Vince wasn't as wrong as we though? Bigger guys are better protected from serious injuries than their more technically gifted colleagues.

So what do you think? Does being a smaller wrestler expose you to career threatening injuries more and thus make you a higher risk as a character to pin the company on?
