Your Favorite First World Championship Win

Earlier I was listening to Christian on Talk is Jericho and they were talking about Christian's first WHC title win at Extreme Rules in 2011. I immediately remembered watching that show live and how emotional I had gotten when it happened, It was one of the only times I can recall feeling elated at the result of a professional wrestling match.



Afterwards, using the WWE Network, I started going back and watching a lot of first time championship wins. Here's a few.



Jeff Hardy beats Triple H & Edge in a Triple Threat match to win his first ever WWE Championship.







This also would have likely been a very emotional moment for me had I seen it live. I didn't bother because I figured there was no chance that he was going to win. You can imagine my shock while watching Raw the next night and hearing JR announce that Hardy had won. I was ecstatic.

Another one that I missed as it happened because I couldn't convince my parents to buy it for me. I remember getting online immeidately after it ended and seeing that Edge had won the title on the front page of WWE.com and losing my shit.



Shawn Michaels beats Bret Hart for the WWF Championship







I actually didn't see this one until much later, like 2 years after it happened. But even as a kid I got to see how meaningful it was to see a guy finally get the one thing he's spent his entire life trying to get. An amazing moment.
