Beware of the PC Battery (Types & sizes) ...Can cheat though

I thought by going into the Shop and asking for a CR2032 "Button" battery for a PC (the most common type) Battery I was on safe ground
The shop assistant waved me over to a Blister pack which had 4 x CR2032 Batteries in it plus 2 each of CR2016 and CR2025

Now here's the Problem All 3 types are Identical sizes and the same 3 Volt rating So if I was to fit the wrong type by accident would I be risking Damage However when I looked them up on .The Battery wiki Index list says Less capacity on the '16 & '25 models. Therefore slightly shorter life OK?>and the depth size can vary depending on maker..Case of getting it to fit snugly under the Contact strip
One other thing, there is No "Use by" or production date on the batteries (or card) so it might be good for a year or I might eke out over 5 years?..The 2032 is the Clear winner on both capacity and Longevity ..I'd have no Hesitation In fitting this instead of the other 2 even if it was specified
