Cyberlink Power Director not installing, can you advise me please?

I am trying to remove an older version of Cyberlink Power Director so I can install a newer one. But when ever I go into control panel and click on the tab which says uninstall change,

A green line slides along and then it says install shield wizard will guide you through the set up process. Then another message comes up saying it has detected that there is a version on there already, would I like to un-install it? After clicking yes I received another message saying

Error the product definition file lost

Can you tell me what this means please? :confused:
