Lost Firefox add ons

I have had to uninstall and reinstall firefox browser because when i logged into Facebook i got a different page so my Tech guy who takes over my Laptop had to remove it and reinstall it said it had been corrupted my firefox profile the problem is i lose all my Firefox original add ons and have to start from scratch again and when i added cache cleaner add on he said that had caused the problem as well any tips to save your firefox add ons and does Firefox clear the data when you close it ?.

I had to uninstall Firefox and reinstore Firefox which put Firefox back to default all my add ons and plug ins were gone I did a system restore to a earlier time is there any way you can to save you Firefox add ons and plug ins ? The system restore did not work to put back my Firefox browser as it was ?
