www.meetup.com/ has been around for many years It is a DIY homepage builder whose only requirement is it can be a discussion enquiry "site"
I see its taken on a lot of WebRTC and Google Hangouts groups so its changing with the time ...Judging from the original spec the First tenants were mostly university types, like the old Yahoo,Usenet geeky news groups in the mid 1990's (they are still live)
Here is a random sample from one of the sub sites and as you can see their subscriber Numbers put many Full on Groups who Pay somebody to assemble something like this to shame
I imagine there is some pay element on these but as a free flag waving Homepage to gather or dispense/display information you can't moan at something like this :)
PS There seems to be a hard line vetting moderation policy in operation here So if you want to spoil this website the page/s are taken down pronto!
Oh I did note that Facebook Logins are required to go deeper on these pages OK?
