My first real irritation with Win10. I am constantly being told to reconnect my drive ( by that it means my external hard drive used for back ups) and I cannot clear it from the Notification list . When I try to a box pops up with another reminder to connect it. When I close this box the notification returns , and the process is repeated.
OK , I admit that Win10 is just reminding me that I have not done a back up for a while - but that`s because there is nothing new to backup! If I had created new files that I needed to keep I would have done a manual backup. I don`t need Win10 nannying me all the time.
If I had a desktop PC the drive would be attached all the time and there would be no problem but I have a laptop so it is not. The only way to get rid of this is to do a backup which I feel is not needed.
It is so ironic that I should be having this issue just after I buy CA with `WIN10 - The First 100 Days' as the main article!
