I was trying to set up a friends computer with his outlook.com account in outlook 2003.
The strange thins is the smtp server accepts his username and pw, but the pop server does not.? Both are set to ssl.
I came home and did the same on my computer and the same thing happens. if I use the test settings option, it just stops on pop access, and I can close the dialogue with no error message.
I then created an alias and tries with that and it sends and receives fine.?
Has anyone come upon this before, as it makes no sense to me that the smtp server accepts the credentials and the pop3 does not.
