Lots Going On For Raw This Monday

This Monday will be the go home episode of Raw for the Extreme Rules ppv and there looks to be quite a bit packed into the show.

According to reports, Ric Flair will return to Raw this Monday. Presumably, Flair will somehow be participating in the final build for the six man tag team bout between The Shield and Evolution.

Past WWE guest host Hugh Jackman also returns this Monday, so whatever he's involved in could be fun. He's easily one of the best of the guest hosts that they had and genuinely seemed to have a lotta fun while he was there.

The finals of the Intercontinental Championship #1 contender's tournament is set to go down this Monday between Rob Van Dam and Bad News Barrett. I honestly think that Cesaro & Heyman will interfere in this match in a way that either results in RVD being disqualified or that the match itself will be rendered a no contest. If it's the latter, I think we could wind up seeing a fourway match at Extreme Rules for the title with Big E defending against Cesaro, RVD and Barrett.

According to reports I read this morning, The Usos are set to defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against Rybaxel. Can't say this interests me all that much, but it should be a pretty solid TV match all the same.

Daniel Bryan is scheduled to be on Raw this Monday for the final push to his first title defense against Kane at Extreme Rules. The beat down worked well last Monday and put some needed heat on Kane. I think they jacked up the intensity of the beating as a means of justifying, for storyline purposes, Bryan not being at the SmackDown! tapings. I also think that it's classy of WWE not to have mentioned the passing of Bryan's father just hours before Monday's episode of Raw. It's mentioned on WWE.com, but they haven't said it on television. Ten or twelve years ago, I think they would've tried to work it into the angle somehow, like maybe his father was watching Raw live and had a sudden heart attack while he saw his son being mauled. Something along those lines that would've come off as extremely tacky and uncomfortable. Some reports I've read allege that WWE officials told Bryan that it was perfectly fine if he wanted to just show up at Extreme Rules. I have a feeling that Bryan will mention his father on Raw, either before or after he has another encounter with Kane, and dedicate his first title defense to his memory.
