Something worth reviewing Annually if you are running Extensions /Apps on your Browser Chrome/Opera Firefox ect.
this manual check task may take a minute or 2
What I did was to open my Chrome Browser on the Apps Window (Click the Apps icon on the Toolbar (left side) or Type chrome://apps/ into the address box which shows The Chrome App Web store Link and up to 11 (On my Monitor display) extensions And Apps for Chrome to customise my browser
All these Icons are live when running OK and you can also get to the Base URL (and settings if applicable) from here too
On the panel I Idly clicked on all of these and out of the 11 I had 3 Fails(and a further Flagged fail):eek:
Which were:
#1 Adblock Plus whose Icon was pointing @ a GoDaddy URL place holder
Remedy removed the App Completely(In the Right click menu) then Reinstalled it off the Chrome Web Store
#2 WOT Greyed out Could not reactivate...Remedy the same as above
#3 Angry Birds Chrome showed a Message that it was not supported on Chrome.deleted that
And #4 was the Hola! Streaming TV App(On Chrome) which was Flagged when WOT was reactivated as a Security Risk (Unsafe)
(Not used that in a long time so that was Deleted too)
This was already inactive But stored on the Extensions Menu
Now seems to be running OK:)
PS Another thing to check is the Version unlike Programs /Apps installed to the PC these often do not get auto updated OK?
