Because this forum is a fountain of knowledge, I thought I'd like to pose this, just to see if there is any grounds to pursue:-
Throughout the summer, a well known fast food chain has been actively selling £1 raffle tickets from table to table.
Initially the seller didn't know when the draw would take place, but eventually found out and I bought a ticket.
A week after the draw was due to take place, I returned and looked for a notice with details about the winning number. Because I couldn't find a notice I asked, in fact three people. The third person I asked, approached the manager who turned round, looked at me and shook their head. I was told mine wasn't the winning number.
I could forget all this, especially as it was only one pound. But wouldn't it be easy to position a notice saying:-
*How many tickets were sold.
*How much was made. (after expenses)
*Where the proceeds went.
*Number of winning ticket
*Name/address of winner (for verification)
Many of those being sold tickets, were clearly holiday makers as our's is a seaside town. You could quite easily have been one of the purchasers.
I have as yet had no reply from their Head Office.
