This morning I found that Mail, OneNote and the Store were broken. Mail and OneNote couldn't get past the splash screen and Store would not download anything. I tried the recommended fixes that Microsoft suggests, but none worked.
I decided to use the System File Checker as it usually sorts out issues like these and it worked a treat. It's a safe option. I thought I would post to maybe help out someone before they pull every last hair out!
Open a Command Prompt as an administrator.
Right click the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
Type in sfc /scannow
Leave it to run as it could take a while.
Once it's finished you will hopefully see that it found missing or corrupt files and repaired them.
Restart the PC.
