Confirmed and Rumored Names for #TNANYC

Some talent has been revealed for the NYC TV tapings that are taking place starting tonight, and more specifically for Destination-X, being taped 6/26. In addition to Matt Hardy who had already been announced, others include:

Homicide isn't the same worker now that he was a few years ago, but he's a recognizable part of the X-Division past and a good hometown name to help sell tickets.

Low Ki worked the X-Travaganza ONO PPV taping and ever since has rumored to be working backstage and eventually setting up for a return to Impact. He is another good hometown name for this event. I've expressed my affinity for Low Ki on numerous occasions, so I'll spare you all my fanboy-ism in this post.

Cage is a more surprising name. He's a west coast guy, former WWE developmental talent perhaps best known for his work in PWG and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. He has worked Impact in the past, losing a GutCheck match to Jay Bradley. Cage should have been brought in instead of Bradley. He is a hugely jacked body builder who moves around the ring incredibly well for a man his size. Given his size and look, if brought in full time he could add an interesting element to the X-Division, much like Joe did when he joined the company.

Here is Cage's GutCheck appearance for anyone who forgot or is interested:

It has also been announced that Keiji "The Great Muta" Mutoh will be wrestling at tonight's taping, which is a surprise that he will actually be in action and is more really cool news(there's even talk it could be a singles match).

Other names that have been rumored for Destination-X are Trent Baretta who worked last year's Destination-X under his real name, Greg Marasciulo, and worked the X-Division ONO taping this year under the name Ace Vedder; however, nothing has been confirmed by either Trent or TNA. He also hails originally from New York.

Another NYC local, and former X-Division champ, The Amazing Red was rumored for the event but has denied on Twitter that he will be in attendance.

Former ECW stars Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno have been confirmed to return for this set of tapings as well, which is also likely designed to help sell tickets,

And one more note is that former WWE talents Ezekiel Jackson and Snitzky are backstage for tonight's event. Jackson would make an interesting add to MVP's stable if he is indeed there to perform, but I'm not sure what Snitzky's role could entail if he were to be used at these shows. Both men live close to the area, NY and PA respectively, and are likely only there as guests to visit friends and will not be working the events.

Feel free to add any more names that you've heard could be involved over these three days, or give your feelings on the names being confirmed or bantered about.(And we get it- some of you will be upset by the inclusion of former ECW stars, hopefully there are more productive and original thoughts about the talent booked aside from those inevitable gripes.)
