Quite out of the blue I discover https://slack.com/is I thought there were adequate real time messaging services to satisfy our needs, then someone drops this word into my proverbial lap. There can't be anything wrong with having choice, but I'm wondering what use it would be to me if I have to convert all my contacts to use it, or would I. It seems from a very quick read, that it gathers all other messaging apps under one roof. I must go back and re-read, just in case I've got that wrong. If I'm right, then it sounds interesting.
I did see it's available on iOS and android so unlike facetime, which is for "i" users and whatsapp that is for phone users it appears to be compatible/usable throughout.
