Been lurking on here but not posted for a while but need now some good advice.....
I am giving one of my older boxes to my grandson to play on and it has M/S Security Essentials installed which now as everybody knows has ceased to issue any more updates.
Avast and Avira free versions were the top of the crop a few years back and I did install Avast on my grandaughters lappy--pre-iPad days, and it seemed to be a good one .
I had AVG on a while back but it tended to cause problems if I remember that far back.
But what now is the top dog? I would like some comments please before going ahead with either one or some other free Antivirus that may now be very good.
