I recently upgraded a Samsung R700 laptop from Win 7 to 10. This crippled the display brightness, freezing it at a dark setting. Efforts to rectify this using Device Manager and Samsung's driver lists came to nothing. Someone suggested the correct driver would be installed if Windows 10 was clean installed, but that didn't work either.

Look for: Easy Display Manager WINDOWS 7(32BIT,64BIT), 20.06 MB, ZIP, MULTI LANGUAGE, VERSION : 3.2.2.2
I didn't have to alter any settings - it just reactivated the Fn key and its all its functions.
