One Bobby Wins the World Title; Another Returns

Well, let's get the easy stuff out of the way — "The Destroyer", Lashley (I think TNA is dropping the "Bobby" from his name) speared his way to victory after MVP stacked the deck in his favor and is now the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Why they didn't just have him win it on Sunday at 'Slammiversary' is beyond me, but with the other Bobby—Bobby Roode—making his late, but triumphant return to television immediately following Lashley's victory, this should sit at least semi-comfortably with the crowd unhappy with how long Eric Young has been carrying the TNA title around, myself among them.

I like EY, but I don't like EY as a World Champion, and if TNA's ratings every week since he's won it are an indication, few others do either. With Lashley carrying it and Bobby Roode stepping into the scene, provided this angle carries forward, we should have a more refined world title picture going into Destination X, which is only a few weeks away.

For those who didn't see it, check it out below:

Let's hear it...
