So far after checking my windows update history, windows 10 has failed on no less than 35 occasions!
Going through the list it was evident that all of the failures were down to error codes.
I have researched some of the error codes by following tips available and running the trouble shooter but the last one is giving me grief.
The error code C1900101-20017 is the one that is giving thousands of other people on the internet problems with upgrading to windows 10.
"Installation failed during SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"
It's annoying because it goes through all of the preparation and updates but when it restarts the windows logo is centre screen and hangs, nothing responds and I have to revert to manually shutting it down, on start up it reverts back to W7 with the error code.
I have tried this by the Microsoft update and via an ISO disc also available from MS.
I have a Samsung RV511 with 3GB ram and 46.5 GB of free space and running W7 home premium.
This is the first time anything to do with my laptop has stumped me and I was wondering if any of you guys had come across this.
