So, before WrestleMania 29 The Rock was WWE Champion and the fact that he wasn't 'able' to attend every Raw because of his movie commitments and all pissed of many fans, mostly the IWC. There were complaints saying..."The champ must be on TV every week...", "The Rock doesn't care about wrestling or the fans...", etc.
But, flash forward to 2014! We have Brock Lesnar as the WWE WHC and he hardly ever shows up other than PPV's. The thing that bothers me the most is that he doesn't have anything else substantial to do in life unlike Rocky. But he still doesn't show up because he doesn't give a damn about wrestling, the fans or the company.
IMO, The Rock deserves much more respect from the fans as he clearly has no reason to keep coming back to wrestling as he's one of Hollywood's most successful actors today. He comes back because he, like us, is addicted to Wrestling...it's obviously in his blood.
What do you guys think? Is this double standards on the part of the fans to respect the guy who clearly doesn't even deserve it?
