Is there anywhere more worse or better than the Public Library IT Network set-up in the Lancashire Area
Just Gave it a Few minutes test To Look @ my emails(Using My Library card Number)
and Here is what I found on the Terminal
The Homepage was their own Library services APP ,Desktop was Clutter with Lots of Possible Conflicting Items and As far as I could see The Windows XP Firewall was in action
OS Windows XP Professional! Gets better
to access the Internet you Click internet explorer and the browser is...IE7.0 with No access to any Web Search bar Bing with only Returns on the search page ...NO Full Internet Access!
Then we found the "Chrome " Shortcut on the cluttered desktop
This gave us the only Proper Internet access...No sound!
Checked the Version which was up to Date and Some of my data synced with the Browser
From what I could make out Just about every Protocol was A few years out of Date Java,Flash and the rest) and No Ad Block App in evidence
I Have a Mothballed XP Home Machine (Reviving shortly) and that Is Less Cluttered and set up Better than that Library Terminal Only Minus point cannot Upgrade it any More(@ limits of Hardware)
in fact I Could run Something like Google Hangouts
But with that Library terminal That will be Blocked ,Full Stop !:mad:
