Do you think WWE gives people bad gimmicks on purpose sometimes, not as a rib but so they can be made something different later?
for example, wwe knew what austin could do from ecw and they knew he could wrestle...but doesnt it make better wrestling lore to be able to look back and show his first gimmick didnt work and the next one "was really him turned up to 10"? same for the rock. not saying it did happen, at least MAYBE not with them but maybe others like xpac (they let him keep the corny lightning kid gimmick), kane, and im sure others.
think that could happen? or is it just bad business? on the other hand maybe some like doink or goldust just click and they keep it?
