When Kurt Angle appeared on the Ross Report he made some interesting comments about CM Punk and part timers.

Angle said if he could have talked to Punk before the bottom dropped out with WWE, he would have counseled Punk that there may come a time when he may want to be a part time wrestler. Essentially, Punk as a full timer should have been more understanding of the fact that big name part timers bring value. If Punk was willing to work hard as a full timer for a few more years, he could have had the option to go from 215 matches a year to a select few.
Angle's concluding point was if Punk was going to wrestle his entire career as a full timer, he had the right to complain about part timers getting the limelight. But if Punk ever planned on reaping the benefits of a part time deal in the future, he had to accept the plush positions of the part timers of today.
Do you think CM Punk should been a bit more forward thinking? Perhaps he could have figured, "If I stick with this, I may get deals as sweet as Rock's, Brock's, and Batista's down the line."
