The Undertakers character is the rare type of character that could live on forever. I'm sure some people will blast the idea, but if done right, he could truly be "The Immortal One".
Just one possible scenario, but keep in mind I'm not thinking the whole thing out and there could me many different ways it could be done better, I'm just tossing this out as "a way".
Brock Lesnar is champ going into NOC. Once again, he's demolishing John Cena and on his way to defending the strap. The lights go out, the gong hits, and The Undertaker is standing in the middle of the ring. It's enough to startle Brock, and allow Cena to get the win. (Not that I want Cena to win, but it sets the story line in place).
UT is only in the ring for a few seconds before the lights go out again and he disappears. Segments like this continue all the way up until WM. Taker only teases Brock, never showing himself for more than a few seconds at a time, tormenting Lesnar. Throughout it all, Brock could win the title back and go into WM as the champ.
WM main event match. One way or another, UT appears at the top of the ramp. But he stops before getting to the ring. Lights go out, gong hits, lights come back in, only to see another Undertaker at the top of the ramp. He slowly walks down to some badass entrance in typical UT fashion. The old UT ceremoniously gives the urn to the new UT, who goes into the ring, tombstones Brock, and leaves. We now have a new UT.
I know, I know...it's filled with holes and probably not the best way to go about it. But if you think about it, that character could live on forever. I don't know who is in NXT that could fit the role of the new UT because I don't keep up with it much. But they'd have to be PERFECT with the gimmick or it wouldn't work and would only diminish the character.
Now please, don't don your keyboard warrior costume and tear this idea to threads like 17 year old douche nugget, just have some fun with it and throw out your own way of doing it. The UT has always been my favorite since his debut. And personally, I wouldn't mind if the character lived on forever IF DONE RIGHT!
