Good and Bad Opponents for Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar just set a new bar in WWE, Cena is no longer unstoppable, and anyone who wants to be at the top of the WWE ladder better be on track to being one of the greatest stars in WWE history. So what are some good match-ups for Brock now that he is firmly established as the alpha male of the WWE?

The Good...

The Big Show: Lesnar and Show have good chemistry. Seeing the two biggest bulls in the WWE square off is never a bad idea for a one off match.

Batista: It is important that Lesnar face guys who are close to his level and Batista is certainly that, especially bolstered by his being in one of the best movies of the year.

The Rock: While it is unlikely to happen, Brock vs. Rock is undoubtedly going to put butts in seats, $9.99 subscriptions in pockets, and generally be a widely talked about match.

Rusev: It is bound to happen and, while it will utterly ruin Rusev when it does, it will forever put Rusev on a list of guys who had the honor of facing Lesnar at his peak.

Sheamus: Personally, if they began to push him as a big deal again, he'd be on my list of potential people to beat Lesnar. Sheamus has had a successful career full of very few significant accolades that people remember. This would be a definitive way to cement him as one of the top WWE stars ever and give a massive spark to his career.

The Bad...

John Cena: While the comeback story is already written, nobody wants to see this. It would make sense, under the right context it might work, but hearing Cena become the SIXTEEN time world champ and wasting the rub for someone else would be utterly pointless.

Roman Reigns: I know, I'm about to be lumped on the IWC hater bandwagon, but this guy just isn't working. In the recent 6-man tag, Reigns was the fourth biggest star in the match when he needed to be the first. I think those at the top of WWE are starting to realize how limited Reigns is and that his shelf life may not be for much longer. It quickly became apparent how much Reigns and Ambrose carried Reigns in the Shield, despite how much WWE may not be happy about it. A win over Randy Orton is good but can be easily forgotten if he doesn't have a big turnaround soon.

Kane: I get it, Kane is evil and is kinda helping make Rollins seem like a bigger heel, but he is back into another one of those 'so stale it's almost unbearable to watch' stages and nothing would be gained from such a match.

Randy Orton: He has a role that he fulfills but recent times have shown he simply is not a huge draw. Orton is a similar situation to Reigns, a good look but very hard to get excited about. At least Orton is damn good in the ring and can cut an adequate promo.

The Long Shots...

Daniel Bryan: He may never wrestle again, that is the reality. But if he does come back then the David vs. Goliath story writes itself.

CM Punk: Again, likely won't be coming back, but the former involvement he had with Heyman and the past expectations for such a match would make it a HUGE deal.

Hulk Hogan: Who wouldn't want to see Lesnar manhandle Hogan again? It isn't going to happen but I would certainly love to see it.

Cesaro: Everything seems to be up in the air right now for Cesaro, he could end up stuck in midcard hell, he could end up with a major push, a guy this talented can be used anywhere and no doubt he could have a great match with Lesnar.

Sami Zayn: This may sound insane but imagine Zayn coming in and shocking the world by beating Lesnar? He is the only guy that could come out of NXT and make that kind of impact, which would be huge on so many levels.
